Larry is Co-Chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment practice group where he represents management in a broad array of multi-state labor and employment matters.

An ardent litigator, Larry successfully defends private and public sector clients in complex individual and multi-party cases of discrimination, retaliation, harassment and wage and hour in state and federal courts. Equally adept in the administrative forum, Larry has leveraged success for his clients before various administrative agencies including the Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of Justice, the EEOC, the New York State Division of Human Rights, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities.

A decisive problem solver, Larry is uniquely capable of optimizing business priorities by navigating and resolving high stakes matters at mediations and arbitrations administered by the American Arbitration Association, JAMS and related alternative dispute resolution forums.

As a human resources partner, Larry is routinely called upon by national and international clients to provide advice and counsel to ensure compliance with federal and state law. Larry routinely advises clients in policy implementation, handbook revitalization and standard operating procedure development.

Prior to joining the firm, Larry was employed at Littler Mendelson, P.C., where he represented clients in the health care and financial services industries. Previously, Larry was an Assistant Corporation Counsel at the New York City Law Department Office of the Corporation Counsel, where he represented the City of New York and its agencies in all affirmative and defensive litigation arising out of the City’s role as the employer of more than a quarter-million workers.

Larry’s unique combination of legal acumen and business sense has garnered him recognition in the public and private sectors. In 2008, Larry was awarded “Legal Rookie of the Year Award” by the Corporation Counsel, Michael Cardozo, and was a 2010 nominee for the New York City Bar Association’s “Municipal Affairs Award,” which recognizes outstanding achievement at the New York City Law Department. In 2015, Larry was featured in Long Island Business News’ “Who’s Who” series. Larry was also featured in Super Lawyers’ New York Metro Rising Stars List from 2015-2019. In 2021, he was included in the New York Metro Super Lawyers list.

In 2021, following a lengthy nomination, research and selection process of leading labor and employment practitioners across the United States, Larry was selected by the U.K. based publisher International Legal Media for inclusion in The Employment Lawyers. Each year, one lawyer per state is selected and Larry will be featured as the Exclusive Recommended Labor and Employment Advisor for the state of New York in the 2021-2022 publication.

Larry received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Albany Law School of Union University. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and French Studies from Wesleyan University, in Middletown, Connecticut.
